Patrick Mahomes Cleared for Training Camp Amid Recovery
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who suffered a torn ACL and LCL in December 2025, has been cleared to participate in training camp practices this summer.
According to NFL insider Albert Breer, Mahomes has not missed any first-team reps during training camp. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid commented on Mahomes' rapid recovery, noting his dedication to rehabilitation, which included extensive daily work with the team's assistant trainer.
Mahomes expressed that he feels great and is focused on being ready for the Chiefs' Week 1 game against the Denver Broncos on September 14. While Reid has not confirmed Mahomes' participation in the preseason, he emphasized the importance of communication and trust in the recovery process.
