Patrick Mahomes Returns as Chiefs Defeat Broncos 31-10

Patrick Mahomes returned to the field for the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, helping the team secure a 31-10 victory against the Denver Broncos in their season opener.

This marked Mahomes' first game since undergoing surgery in December for a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee. He demonstrated his readiness by scoring a 15-yard touchdown on his 10th snap, showcasing his ability to scramble and dive into the end zone despite being hit by defenders.

New signing Kenneth Walker III also made an impressive debut, rushing for a career-high 173 yards and scoring two touchdowns, including a notable 60-yard run. Walker's performance contributed to his 191 all-purpose yards, making him one of only three players since 2000 to achieve over 100 rushing yards in their first game with the Chiefs. Coach Andy Reid commended Walker's spectacular performance during the game.
