Patriots Acquire WR Tejhaun Palmer from Waivers
The New England Patriots have claimed wide receiver Tejhaun Palmer off waivers, as announced by the team on Tuesday. Palmer was waived by the Arizona Cardinals the previous day.
In a related transaction, the Patriots released rookie tight end Jeremiah Franklin. Palmer, who is 26 years old, was a sixth-round draft pick by Arizona in 2024 after playing at UAB. He spent most of his first two seasons on the practice squad and was promoted to the active roster on January 3, participating in the regular-season finale.
Franklin, 22, joined the Patriots as a rookie free agent from Boston College on July 24. During his four years at Boston College, he played in 41 games, recording 93 receptions for 1,010 yards and six touchdowns.
