Patriots OC Acknowledges Shortcomings in Super Bowl Loss to Seahawks

The New England Patriots experienced a significant turnaround last season, finishing with a 14-3 record and reaching the Super Bowl. This improvement was largely attributed to Josh McDaniels, who became the offensive coordinator in January 2025.

In the Super Bowl, the Patriots struggled offensively, with Maye throwing for 295 yards but suffering six sacks and a low QBR of 16.3. McDaniels took responsibility for the loss, stating he did not perform adequately and acknowledging the Seahawks' superior performance. As the team prepares for a new season, McDaniels is focused on improving the offensive line and building chemistry between Maye and wide receiver A.J. Brown, while remaining cautious of the Seahawks' continued threat.
