Patriots Sign Defensive Tackle DaQuan Jones to One-Year Contract
The New England Patriots have agreed to a one-year contract with free agent defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, which could be worth up to $6 million, as reported by NFL Network.
The contract includes a base salary of $3.5 million for Jones, a 34-year-old veteran who has spent the last four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. During his time with the Bills, he started all 51 games and recorded 10 sacks, 31 quarterback hits, and 99 tackles.
Throughout his career, Jones has participated in 167 games, starting 161 of them, with previous teams including the Tennessee Titans and Carolina Panthers. He has accumulated a total of 20 sacks and 372 tackles. Notably, Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel coached Jones during his tenure with the Titans.
