Patriots Sign Hassan Haskins to Practice Squad Following Injury to TreVeyon Henderson
The New England Patriots have signed running back Hassan Haskins to their practice squad, responding to the injury of TreVeyon Henderson, who is expected to be sidelined for several weeks due to a high ankle sprain.
Henderson sustained the injury during the second quarter of a recent game against the Las Vegas Raiders, where he left after an 11-yard run. Although he will not require surgery, the Patriots are optimistic about his recovery timeline. This season, Henderson has recorded 163 rushing yards and one touchdown on 42 carries.
Haskins returns to the Patriots after a previous stint earlier this year. He has experience from his time with the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Chargers, where he accumulated 76 carries for 229 yards and two touchdowns. With Henderson out, Rhamondre Stevenson is anticipated to take on a larger role in the backfield as the team prepares for their upcoming game against the New York Jets.
