The New England Patriots took the lead against the New York Jets 7-3 during their game at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
Drake Maye connected with wide receiver Romeo Doubs for a 42-yard touchdown after having ample time to throw. Following the play, Doubs required medical attention but was able to walk off the field with trainers.
The Jets initially scored first with a field goal after a strong opening drive, which was hindered by an offensive pass interference penalty against Tim Patrick, negating a potential touchdown catch by rookie Omar Cooper. The Jets' subsequent drive was thwarted by sacks from Milton Williams and Christian Barmore.
