Patriots Trade Offensive Lineman Caedan Wallace to Dolphins

The New England Patriots have traded offensive lineman Caedan Wallace to the Miami Dolphins, following an initial decision to waive him. The trade includes a 2029 seventh-round pick heading to Miami, while the Patriots will receive a sixth-round selection in 2028.

This trade is contingent on Wallace passing a physical. Wallace, a third-round pick two years ago, has had a limited NFL career, appearing in just 10 games and logging 137 offensive snaps. The Dolphins will assume responsibility for his rookie contract, which includes a base salary of $1.34 million for 2026.

Wallace's move to Miami comes amid significant changes to the Dolphins' roster this offseason. The team is undergoing a rebuild, but has stability at offensive tackle positions. Wallace will compete for a backup role on the offensive line during training camp and the preseason.
