Patty Mills Signs One-Year Deal with ASVEL in France
Patty Mills, a veteran NBA guard, has signed a one-year contract with ASVEL, a French basketball team, as announced in a press release.
Mills will be reuniting with Tony Parker, who is the owner, president, and new head coach of ASVEL. The two previously won a championship together in 2014 while with the San Antonio Spurs. After spending 16 years in the NBA, including a decade with the Spurs, Mills played for Tenerife in Spain's Liga ACB last season, averaging 18.6 points over 11 games.
ASVEL is reportedly reducing its budget from 59 million to 24 million euros, leading to the departure of several notable players. Despite these financial adjustments, the team has finalized its agreement with Mills.
