Paul Green Reflects on Chelsea Tenure and New Role at Bay FC
Paul Green, who recently departed Chelsea after 13 years, reflects on his successful tenure where he helped the team secure 19 major trophies. He acknowledges that many of his medals were stored away, only realizing their significance after leaving the club.
During his time at Chelsea, Green formed a strong partnership with former manager Emma Hayes, leading the team to six consecutive Women's Super League titles and a Women's Champions League final appearance in 2021. His departure in February was reportedly due to internal changes within the club.
After a brief hiatus from football, Green was appointed chief football officer at Bay FC in September. He expressed enthusiasm for the new project and aims to leverage his experience to enhance the team's performance in the National Women's Soccer League, where they currently sit near the bottom of the standings.
