Paul Seixas to Conclude Season at Roc d'Azur MTB Race
Paul Seixas, who recently triumphed in Il Lombardia, is set to conclude his remarkable season by participating in the Roc d'Azur MTB race in Frejus on Sunday. This decision comes after a successful year as a professional cyclist, where he achieved eight victories, including notable wins in the Volta ao Algarve and Itzulia Basque Country.
Seixas traveled four hours from Lombardy to Frejus for this event, which he describes as a fun opportunity. The Roc d'Azur is a significant annual mountain biking festival in France, attracting around 20,000 participants and nearly 100,000 visitors over five days.
At just 19 years old, Seixas has made a name for himself in the cycling world, becoming the youngest champion of Il Lombardia. His performances this season have drawn attention, including a second-place finish behind Tadej Pogačar in both Strade Bianche and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Despite interest from various professional teams, he has chosen to remain with his current team, Decathlon CMA CGM, for at least one more season.
