Paul Sewald Thrives as Blue Jays Reliever After Diamondbacks Struggles

Paul Sewald, a former closer for the Arizona Diamondbacks, has successfully transitioned to the Toronto Blue Jays after a difficult season. The 36-year-old had a 6.23 ERA in 45 games with the Diamondbacks before being designated for assignment in August.

Since joining the Blue Jays on August 12, Sewald has pitched 6 2/3 innings over seven appearances, allowing just three hits and no earned runs. He has also recorded five strikeouts, maintaining a 0.90 WHIP and limiting opponents to a .130 batting average.
