Paulo Costa Criticizes UFC Over Main Event Announcement for UFC 332
Paulo Costa took to social media to voice his discontent with the UFC following the announcement of the main event for UFC 332, scheduled for October 3 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The event will feature a flyweight title fight between Natalia Silva and Wang Cong, a decision that disappointed many fans after Valentina Shevchenko vacated her title due to injury. Costa, a light heavyweight fighter, revealed that he had offered to step in to save the event but was informed that the UFC would not establish an interim title during Carlos Ulberg's injury absence.
Costa criticized the UFC for not considering his proposal to create an interim light heavyweight title, stating that without a title on the line, he would prefer to fight elsewhere. Ulberg, the current champion, has been sidelined since suffering a serious injury in April and is expected to return in early 2027.
