Paulo Costa Critiques UFC Heavyweight Rankings

Paulo Costa has expressed his concerns regarding the UFC's ranking system, particularly questioning Alex Pereira's position as the fourth-ranked heavyweight despite not winning in that division.

This criticism followed Valentina Shevchenko's decision to vacate the women's flyweight title due to injury, which led to a title fight between Natalia Silva and Cong Wang at UFC 332 on October 3. Costa highlighted the inconsistency in the UFC's handling of rankings and title situations.

Costa pointed out that Pereira, who recently moved up from light heavyweight and lost his only heavyweight fight against Ciryl Gane, should not retain a high ranking. He has also voiced his frustrations about the lack of suitable opponents offered to him for his final fight under his current contract.
