Payton Tolle Leads Red Sox to Ninth Straight Win with Historic Strikeouts

The Boston Red Sox achieved a commanding 13-1 victory against the Athletics at Fenway Park, extending their winning streak to nine games. This win was highlighted by a remarkable performance from pitcher Payton Tolle.

At just 23 years old, Tolle became the youngest pitcher to strike out 14 batters in a game since José Fernández in 2014. He also set a record as the youngest Red Sox pitcher to reach this milestone since Roger Clemens in 1986. Tolle allowed only two hits, including a solo home run, over six innings while throwing 84 pitches.

The Red Sox's offense was prolific, scoring five runs in the second inning and four in the fourth, totaling 15 hits in the game. This victory marks the team's 11th win in their last 12 games and their best 37-game stretch in franchise history, with a record of 32-5 since June 25.
