PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Defends Changes to Pakistan's Test Squad

Mohsin Naqvi, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has addressed the backlash over the recent alterations made to Pakistan's Test squad during the ongoing series against England. He emphasized that these changes were necessary following two heavy defeats, with England leading the series 2-0.

In preparation for the third Test set to begin on September 9, the PCB released seven players from the squad, including notable names like Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq. They have been replaced by five uncapped players, along with Saim Ayub and Abdullah Fazal, who collectively have limited experience in international matches.

Naqvi acknowledged the team's disappointing performance but pointed out improvements in white-ball cricket during his tenure. He remains unfazed by the criticism, asserting that he is focused on the team's future rather than past rankings.
