Pedro Acosta Secures Sprint Victory at Malaysian GP
Pedro Acosta won the sprint race at the Malaysian Grand Prix held at Sepang, marking his second career sprint victory for KTM. The race unfolded dramatically after Alex Marquez crashed while leading, which allowed Acosta to take the lead.
Following Marquez's crash, Ai Ogura briefly led the race but was overtaken by Acosta on lap eight. Marc Marquez secured second place, extending his championship lead over Jorge Martin, who did not compete. The race was marked by unpredictable weather, with rain only intensifying after the race concluded.
Acosta's victory adds to his earlier success in Thailand, and he recently won his first Sunday race at the Austrian Grand Prix. The race also featured a competitive battle for fifth place among Italian riders, with Fabio Di Giannantonio ultimately finishing ahead of Francesco Bagnaia.
