Pelicans Waive Kobe Bufkin and Jalon Moore
The New Orleans Pelicans have announced the waiving of Kobe Bufkin and Jalon Moore, reducing their roster to meet the regular season limit.
Kobe Bufkin, selected 15th overall by Atlanta in the 2023 NBA Draft, aimed to revitalize his career with the Pelicans after stints with the Hawks and a brief appearance with the Lakers. He had signed a training camp deal with New Orleans in July, hoping to secure a spot on the team.
Jalon Moore, a forward who suffered a torn Achilles prior to the 2025 draft, participated in three games with the Pelicans' Summer League team and was in training camp on an Exhibit 10 deal. While Moore may join the Laketown Squadron, Bufkin's contract lacks Exhibit 10 language, indicating he is unlikely to report to the G League.
