Penn State Football Defeats Temple 27-9

Penn State football, ranked 16th, secured a 27-9 victory against Temple on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field, improving their record to 2-0 while Temple fell to 1-1.

The first half was challenging for Penn State, as they managed only a 10-3 lead at halftime despite several opportunities. Rocco Becht connected with Koby Howard for a significant 56-yard gain on the opening play, but the offense struggled to capitalize on scoring chances. After a blocked field goal attempt by Temple, Becht found Benjamin Brahmer for a touchdown just before halftime.

In the second half, Penn State's offense gained momentum, scoring 17 unanswered points. Becht threw a touchdown pass to Chase Sowell, and later connected with Brahmer again for another score. Temple managed a late touchdown, but it was not enough to close the gap. The Nittany Lions will next face Buffalo at Beaver Stadium on September 19.
