Penn State Football's Road Trip to Ann Arbor
Penn State football made the journey to Ann Arbor, Michigan, this past weekend for a significant matchup against the Wolverines at Michigan Stadium. Both teams were seeking their first victory in Big Ten play, with Penn State aiming to improve after a disappointing series of games.
The Onward State team traveled for approximately 6.5 hours, departing State College on Friday afternoon. The trip included a stop for dinner at Chick-fil-A and a celebratory birthday cake for a team member. Upon arrival, they enjoyed their hotel accommodations, which were generously provided by a team member's family.
On game day, the group explored the stadium atmosphere, which they found lacking compared to their home tailgating experiences. During the game, Penn State faced challenges, with Rocco Becht turning the ball over three times, leading to a fourth consecutive loss for the team. Despite the defeat, the team noted a standout performance from Chase Sowell and a highlight interception by freshman Josiah Zayas. After the game, the group returned to their hotel, reflecting on their experiences in Ann Arbor.
