Penn State Men's Hockey Holds Open Practice Ahead of Season Opener
Penn State men's hockey held an open practice on Tuesday afternoon, providing a preview of the team ahead of their season opener at the Ice Breaker Tournament on Friday.
The practice featured players in blue and white jerseys engaging in various drills, including offensive zone exercises and small-area scrimmages. Notable line combinations emerged, with Marco Mignosa, Justin Larose, and Justin Poirier frequently skating together, while Shea Busch, Reese Laubach, and Luke Misa also worked in tandem.
Larose stood out with his shooting skills, scoring during drills alongside Andrew Kuzma. Other players, including Kaden Pitre and Nolan Collins, also demonstrated strong performances. Dowiak, returning from a season-ending injury, showed good mobility and participated actively in faceoff drills. Head coach Guy Gadowsky highlighted Misa as a player expected to excel this season. Goalies Fleming and Fetterolf performed well under pressure, making several key saves during practice.
