Penn State Men's Soccer Falls to Missouri State 3-1 in Season Opener

Penn State men's soccer team lost 3-1 to Missouri State at Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium in Springfield, Missouri, on Sunday night, marking their first defeat of the season.

The Nittany Lions initially took the lead with a goal from Luca Sowinski in the 18th minute. However, they conceded three goals in a short span late in the first half and early in the second half, which included a penalty kick conversion by Diego Real.

After receiving a red card, Penn State played with ten men for much of the second half, which hindered their ability to recover. The team will aim to bounce back in their next match against Pitt on August 28 at Jeffrey Field.
