Penn State Students Protest Against Zionism and University Administration
On Wednesday, members of the Penn State Students for Justice in Palestine held a protest to advocate for an end to the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and to highlight the casualties resulting from the conflict since October 7, 2023.
The demonstration commenced at 6 p.m. at the Allen Street Gates, attracting around forty participants. Many attendees wore face coverings, while others displayed Palestinian flags and signs with messages opposing Zionism and U.S. support for Israel.
Protesters expressed their discontent with the university's perceived inaction regarding the situation in Gaza. They marched through campus chanting slogans that criticized both the university administration and Israel's military actions. The event concluded around 7 p.m. with a call for revolution and a challenge to the university to take a definitive stance on the issue.
