Penn State Women's Volleyball Defeats Villanova 3-1

The No. 9 Penn State Nittany Lions triumphed over the Villanova Wildcats with a score of 3-1 during the Keep it in PA match on Tuesday evening. This victory improved Penn State's record to 7-1, while Villanova fell to 5-4.

Middle blocker Gabrielle Nichols led the Nittany Lions with 13 kills and six blocks, while Kennedy Martin contributed 12 kills and three blocks. Alexis Stucky provided 43 assists, and Haley Burgdorf and Ava Falduto combined for 25 digs throughout the match.

The match featured a strong start for Penn State, who quickly established a lead. Despite Villanova's efforts, including a notable performance from Abby Harrell with 12 kills, the Nittany Lions maintained control, ultimately winning the match. Penn State is set to face South Florida next on September 18.
