Penn State Women's Volleyball Ranked No. 10 in AVCA Poll

Penn State women's volleyball has been ranked No. 10 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association poll as announced on Monday.

The Nittany Lions received 947 votes, placing them just behind Purdue and Texas A&M. Other Big Ten teams in the top 10 include Nebraska and Wisconsin, while Minnesota, Indiana, and Oregon are just outside that ranking.

Last season, Penn State finished with a record of 19-13 and was eliminated in the second round of the NCAA tournament by Texas. The team will rely on Kennedy Martin, a 6-foot-6 right-side hitter, who was recognized on the Player of the Year watchlist after an impressive debut season. The Nittany Lions will kick off their season at the Spikes Under the Lights event in Dallas on August 27, followed by home games during the Penn State Invitational on August 29 and 30.
