Peyton Manning Not in Running for Colts General Manager Position
Peyton Manning has been the focus of speculation regarding the Indianapolis Colts' general manager position following the firing of Chris Ballard. Dan Patrick, a sports talk host, mentioned on his show that Manning could be considered for the role, potentially as a part owner with the ability to select a quarterback.
However, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Manning is not anticipated to pursue the GM position. Sources indicated that the Colts have not reached out to him regarding the vacancy, and Manning has no interest in taking on such a role at this time, given his existing commitments and family considerations.
Manning's son is currently a freshman at Baylor School in Chattanooga, which further explains his decision to remain focused on his current endeavors rather than seeking a front office position in the NFL.
