Philadelphia Eagles Sign Joe Milton Following Jalen Hurts' Blood Clot Diagnosis
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed quarterback Joe Milton from the Dallas Cowboys' practice squad following the announcement that Jalen Hurts will be sidelined due to a blood clot. This move aims to bolster the team's quarterback depth as they prepare for upcoming games.
Milton, who is in his third NFL season after being drafted by the New England Patriots in 2024, will be added to the active roster. He has played in five games, completing 37 of 53 passes for 424 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.
With Hurts ruled out for the game against the Carolina Panthers, Tanner McKee is expected to start, while rookie Cole Payton will also be part of the depth chart. The Eagles announced Hurts' condition after he experienced calf issues and subsequent tests revealed a superficial blood clot.
