Philip Rivers Addresses NC State Coaching Speculation

Philip Rivers, a former NFL quarterback, has reportedly become a central candidate in the coaching search for NC State. After coaching a high school game on Friday night, he acknowledged the speculation surrounding his potential move.

Rivers expressed his respect for former NC State coach Dave Doren and noted that while he understands the ongoing discussions, he is currently focused on his high school team at St. Michael’s. He emphasized that there is nothing imminent regarding the coaching position, stating he is committed to his team as they aim for a state championship.

Rivers has been coaching at St. Michael’s since 2021 and is determined to minimize distractions during the playoff run. He reiterated his dedication to his current players, indicating that he will not make any decisions until their season concludes.
