Phillies Acquire Luis Arraez and Caleb Kilian Ahead of Trade Deadline

In exchange, the Giants received right-handers Ramon Marquez, the Phillies' No. 4 prospect, and Marty Gair. Arraez, known for his hitting prowess, is a three-time batting champion with a .324 batting average this season, while Kilian aims to bolster a struggling Phillies bullpen.

Arraez's addition is expected to improve the Phillies' on-base percentage, which currently ranks among the lowest in Major League Baseball. The team may adjust its infield lineup, moving Bryce Harper to the outfield to accommodate Arraez at second base.
