His return comes just in time for the final two weeks of the regular season, as the Phillies seek to bolster their bullpen amid a playoff push.

Despite Banks' struggles, his 4.03 SIERA suggests a more favorable outlook on his performance compared to his ERA. The Phillies are optimistic that his ability to retire left-handed hitters will be beneficial, especially given their current 4.19 ERA against such batters. Meanwhile, Cairo, who has spent the season with Lehigh Valley, faces uncertainty as he enters DFA limbo for the first time in his career.
