Phillies Add Kameron Misner to Roster for Field of Dreams Game

The Philadelphia Phillies have officially added outfielder Kameron Misner to their major league roster in preparation for the Field of Dreams game against the Minnesota Twins, scheduled for Thursday night in Iowa.

Misner, who is 28 years old, was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and will serve as the 27th player allowed for this neutral-site matchup. He has played 97 major league games with the Rays and Royals over three seasons and was traded to the Phillies for cash after being designated for assignment by Kansas City last month.

In his time with the IronPigs, Misner has recorded a batting average of .195 with a .674 OPS over 12 games, though his overall minor league performance has been strong, boasting a .900 OPS in 75 Triple-A games. He can play all three outfield positions and has a career .571 OPS in 276 major league plate appearances. The Phillies, currently at 64-58, are looking to improve their playoff position as they face the Twins, with veteran pitcher Aaron Nola set to start the game.
