Phillies Re-Sign Tim Mayza; Braves Adjust 40-Man Roster

The Phillies have re-signed reliever Tim Mayza for the upcoming season, while the Braves added infielder Brett Wisely to their 40-man roster.

The Philadelphia Phillies have re-signed reliever Tim Mayza to a one-year contract following a successful 2026 season. This marks Mayza's third year with the team after he joined as a free agent in late 2025.

During the 2026 season, Mayza made significant contributions, recording 64 strikeouts and 18 walks over 67.1 innings pitched. He ranked fourth in appearances among relievers, showcasing his importance to the Phillies' bullpen.

In related news, the Atlanta Braves made adjustments to their 40-man roster by selecting infielder Brett Wisely. Wisely did not play in the MLB during the 2026 season but had a brief stint in 2025. Additionally, outfielder DaShawn Keirsey Jr. was moved to Triple-A Gwinnett, and infielder Luke Williams opted for free agency after being outrighted earlier.
