Pierre Gasly, driving for Alpine, secured his first Formula 1 pole position at the Monza circuit, a location that holds special significance as it is also where he achieved his first grand prix victory six years ago.

Gasly's performance was marked by a strong showing in qualifying, where he initially placed third before making a final push that allowed him to surpass George Russell and Oscar Piastri, ultimately claiming pole by a narrow margin of 0.060 seconds.
