Pirates Sign Kyler Fedko to Minor League Contract

The Pittsburgh Pirates have reached an agreement on a minor league contract with outfielder Kyler Fedko, who was recently released by the Minnesota Twins. The signing was first reported by Rich Walsh of KDKA-TV, with confirmation from Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Fedko will officially sign his contract the following day.

Fedko, drafted by the Twins in 2021, had shown promise in the minors, hitting 45 home runs and stealing 48 bases over 205 games in 2025 and 2026. Despite his minor league success, he struggled during his brief stint in the majors, going hitless in 16 at-bats. His season ended prematurely after suffering a severe knee injury in August, which required surgery.

Following his release, Fedko will focus on his recovery with the Pirates, his home-state team. It remains uncertain whether he will be ready for spring training in 2027, as he continues to rehabilitate from his injuries.
