Pittsburgh Steelers Re-sign Elandon Roberts Ahead of Preseason

Roberts previously played for the Steelers during the 2023 and 2024 seasons before joining the Las Vegas Raiders in 2025, where he was under the guidance of current Steelers defensive coordinator Patrick Graham. His return is seen as a strategic move to enhance the team's run defense, which has been a concern.

The Steelers' current middle linebacker duo, Patrick Queen and Payton Wilson, offers speed and athleticism but lacks effectiveness against the run. With the Steelers allowing an average of 114 rushing yards per game in 2025, the addition of Roberts, known for his strong tackling ability, could provide a much-needed boost in this area.
