Plymouth Argyle's Tom Cleverley Aims to Enhance Will Evans' Finishing Skills
Plymouth Argyle's new striker Will Evans has signed a two-year contract with an option for an additional year. The 29-year-old joined the club from Mansfield Town earlier this month.
Evans made his debut in a 2-0 victory over Exeter City in the Carabao Cup, where he had several opportunities to score but was unable to convert. Despite the missed chances, Plymouth secured the win with goals from Alex Hartridge and Bim Pepple in stoppage time, having taken 21 shots in the match.
Manager Tom Cleverley expressed his intention to work on improving Evans' finishing skills, noting that while there are aspects of his game that can be enhanced, he is optimistic about Evans' potential. Cleverley emphasized that he aims to develop Evans into a more effective finisher over the coming months.
