Port Adelaide Coach Praises Emerging Talents After Heavy Loss

Port Adelaide's coach Josh Carr expressed optimism regarding the progress of two young players, Jase Burgoyne and Dante Visentini, despite the team's recent 97-point loss to Sydney.

Burgoyne delivered a standout performance in the midfield with 34 disposals, while Visentini showcased his defensive capabilities. With many players uncontracted for the next season, the retention of Burgoyne until 2029 and Visentini at least until the end of next season is encouraging for the club.

Carr noted that Burgoyne's recent shift to a midfield role has allowed him to demonstrate his ability to win contested possessions. Meanwhile, Visentini, who has been primarily a ruck player, excelled in a defensive position during the last game, indicating his readiness for future challenges. Port Adelaide is set to face Melbourne on Saturday night.
