Port Adelaide Considers Isaac Keeler for AFL Opportunity
Port Adelaide is considering a potential opportunity for Isaac Keeler, a delisted player from St Kilda, confirming that they have been in discussions with the 22-year-old.
Keeler, who played 13 games for the Saints, is originally from South Australia and may have the chance to continue his career in his home state. He was drafted in 2022 with Pick 44 from North Adelaide and South Augusta.
The introduction of a third Category B Rookie spot aimed at increasing Indigenous representation in the AFL could enhance Keeler's chances of remaining in the league. Port Adelaide's list manager, Jason Cripps, mentioned ongoing conversations with Keeler and his management regarding this new opportunity.
Additionally, decisions on players Ollie Lord and Tom Anastasopoulos are expected to be made soon, following a meeting with the list management committee. Lord has faced injury challenges, limiting his appearances in recent seasons. Port Adelaide has also acquired Luke Pedlar from Adelaide and holds several key draft picks for the upcoming AFL draft.
