Port Adelaide Cuts Six Players Including Jackson Mead
Port Adelaide has announced the delisting of six players, including Jackson Mead and Zak Butters, as part of their roster changes. Mead, who was drafted in 2019, played a total of 74 games for the club.
Alongside Mead, Will Lorenz, Mani Liddy, Xavier Walsh, Benny Barrett, and Jacob Moss have also been cut from the team. Lorenz played 11 AFL games over three seasons, while Liddy faced injury challenges limiting his nine senior appearances. Walsh had a notable performance in the SANFL, scoring 23 goals in 16 games.
Port Adelaide's list manager expressed gratitude for the contributions of the departing players, highlighting Mead's significance as a father-son selection. The club is currently conducting exit meetings with players, including those who remain unsigned for the upcoming season.
