Port Adelaide Football Program Experiences Departures
Port Adelaide's football program is undergoing significant changes as three members depart the club during the offseason. The individuals leaving include head of development Matthew Lobbe, development coach Cam Sutcliffe, and SANFL coach Jacob Surjan.
Matthew Lobbe has been involved in coaching roles since 2022 after a playing career that included 92 games. Both Sutcliffe and Surjan are also former players, with Surjan having served as a vice captain. Their exits follow the earlier departure of director of coaching Andy Collins, as the club continues to assess its roster.
Ben Rutten, the General Manager of Football, expressed gratitude for the contributions of Lobbe, Sutcliffe, and Surjan, acknowledging their impact as both players and coaches. Lobbe reflected positively on his coaching experience at the club and expressed anticipation for future opportunities.
