Port Adelaide's Pick 5 Attracts Interest from Multiple AFL Clubs
Port Adelaide has gained several top draft picks following the departure of Zak Butters, with rival clubs Richmond, Essendon, West Coast, North Melbourne, and Carlton expressing interest in the Power's Pick 5.
The club currently holds picks 5, 7, 12, 24, and 32 for this year's draft, along with two first-round picks for 2027. Port Adelaide's list manager, Jason Cripps, is open to offers for Pick 5, which has attracted attention from multiple teams.
Richmond, in particular, is eager to acquire young draft talent as it prepares for the upcoming entry of Tasmania into the league. The Tigers possess Pick 2 and 22, and they may propose a trade involving Pick 22 and a 2027 first-round selection for Pick 5. However, securing this trade is uncertain, as Port Adelaide may need additional first-round picks to ensure they can match bids for their academy players.
