Portsmouth Coach Apologizes to Cardiff Players After Fan Incident

During a Championship match at Fratton Park, Portsmouth's head coach John Mousinho apologized to Cardiff City players after a fan incident occurred in the 72nd minute. The altercation began when Cardiff defender Krystian Bielik attempted to retrieve a ball and was involved in a physical confrontation with a fan.

Following the incident, Cardiff's head coach Brian Barry-Murphy reported that Bielik was struck in the face, while social media footage suggested Bielik responded by grabbing the fan. Another fan subsequently threw a ball at Cardiff defender Perry Ng, leading to both fans being removed from the stadium.

Mousinho acknowledged the incident was unacceptable and expressed his commitment to maintaining a positive atmosphere at Fratton Park. Barry-Murphy also condemned the behavior, emphasizing the need for player protection and commending the officials for their management of the situation.
