
Portsmouth Secures First Championship Win Against Lincoln City
Portsmouth celebrated their first win of the Championship season with a 3-1 victory against Lincoln City at ProAmpac Stadium on Saturday. This match marked Lincoln's first home game in the second tier since 1961.
Ryan Kavuma-McQueen opened the scoring for Portsmouth in the seventh minute, followed by Adrian Segecic who extended the lead with a free-kick in the 16th minute. Lincoln's Reeco Hackett converted a penalty in the 32nd minute to reduce the deficit, but Ebrima Adams secured the win for Portsmouth with a long-range strike in the 69th minute.
Lincoln City had opportunities early in the match, including a free-kick and a shot on goal, but were unable to capitalize. The defeat leaves Lincoln still searching for their first win back in the Championship after over 60 years.
