Potential Trade Targets for Red Wings' Simon Edvinsson

The Detroit Red Wings are exploring trade possibilities for Simon Edvinsson, who is currently unsigned and playing in Sweden. This comes as the team navigates a challenging season, highlighted by Dylan Larkin's recent performance in a victory over the Senators.

Edvinsson, a six-foot-six defenseman, has been a focal point of speculation as reports suggest he may prefer a new team. The Red Wings are contemplating how a trade involving Edvinsson could influence their approach to potentially moving Larkin, who has expressed a desire to leave Michigan.

Several teams, including the Mammoth, Kraken, Bruins, and Blues, have been mentioned as possible trade partners. Each team has young centers or prospects that could be appealing to the Red Wings in exchange for Edvinsson, who was drafted sixth overall in 2021. The situation remains fluid as Detroit weighs its options amid ongoing trade discussions.
