Prasidh Krishna Excluded from New Zealand ODI Series Due to Injury
Prasidh Krishna has been officially ruled out of the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand, as announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). This decision comes after Krishna sustained a hamstring injury during the second ODI against the West Indies and has not participated in competitive cricket since.
The BCCI stated that Krishna requires additional time to recover and build up his bowling workload before returning to match play. He is expected to join the India A squad for a four-day match against New Zealand A, contingent upon passing a fitness assessment.
In the meantime, Mohammed Siraj will replace Krishna in the India A squad for the second four-day match starting on October 31, 2026. Nitish Kumar Reddy will remain with the ODI squad for the first match against New Zealand, scheduled for November 4, 2026.
