Prasidh Krishna Excluded from New Zealand ODI Series; Siraj Joins India A Squad
Indian fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the upcoming five-match ODI series against New Zealand, which starts on November 4, due to a hamstring injury sustained during a previous series against the West Indies. His participation was contingent on passing a fitness test, but he will now focus on recovery.
Mohammed Siraj has been included in the India A squad for the second four-day game against New Zealand A, commencing on October 31 in Christchurch. Krishna remains a candidate for the Test matches, with plans to add him to the India A team for the final game against New Zealand A on November 7, pending successful completion of a fitness assessment.
In the meantime, pace all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy will continue with the ODI squad for the first match. The India A team includes players like Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel, while the ODI squad features prominent names such as Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma.
