Former Wales striker Iwan Roberts commented on the situation, noting that Parkinson's tactical stubbornness may be a factor in the team's struggles. He pointed out that Wrexham's defensive issues have persisted, contributing to their poor performance last season, where they had the sixth worst defensive record in their league.

Roberts also highlighted concerns about the size of Parkinson's squad, which currently stands at 33 players, suggesting that this could lead to complications as the manager continues to seek new signings despite already being one of the highest spenders in the league.
