Prince Ali Accuses FIFA of Blackmail Over Unpaid Prize Money

Former FIFA vice president Prince Ali bin Al Hussein has publicly criticized FIFA's leadership, led by Gianni Infantino, for not paying prize money owed to the Jordan national team. This statement was made in Geneva on Tuesday, where he described the withholding of funds as a form of blackmail.

Prince Ali noted that the Jordanian football federation has yet to receive payment for reaching the final of the FIFA Arab Cup held in December in Qatar. He mentioned that during the recent World Cup, he was advised that endorsing Infantino could facilitate financial support for the federation.

Despite the pressure, Prince Ali emphasized Jordan's commitment to ethical values and stated that they would not endorse Infantino. He highlighted the ongoing issues with FIFA's leadership, claiming that the organization has refused to assist Jordan with various matters for months. FIFA has been approached for comments regarding these allegations.
