Prithika Pradeep, a 17-year-old compound archer from Nagercoil, is preparing for her debut at the Asian Games while training at the Sonipat camp alongside experienced teammates V. Jyothi Surekha and Chikitha Taniparthi.
Prithika, who has recently achieved success by winning individual bronze and team silver at the World Cup Stage-4 in Madrid, is focused on honing her skills after topping the Asiad selection trials. She attributes her confidence to her recent victories and emphasizes the importance of learning from her senior teammates.
Inspired by cricket legend M.S. Dhoni, Prithika admires his calmness and decision-making skills. She also values the experience gained from competing in the Archery Premier League, which has helped her improve her game. In addition to individual training, she is dedicated to teamwork, preparing for both women's and mixed team events.
