Protests Planned in Ireland During Trump's Upcoming Visit

Protests are anticipated in Ireland coinciding with President Donald Trump's attendance at the Irish Open at his golf course in Doonbeg, County Clare, scheduled for September 12 to 13.

Local organizations, including the Irish Neutrality League and The Irish Anti-War Movement, are preparing to participate in these demonstrations. Irish Labour Senator Nessa Cosgrove has described the visit as a security challenge and highlighted public anger over issues such as rising fuel prices and U.S. foreign policy.

Protest activities are already being organized, with a major demonstration planned in Dublin at the Garden of Remembrance. Organizers aim for a peaceful, family-friendly event under the theme of no welcome for Trump. Additional protests are set to occur near Shannon Airport and Trump’s golf course, reflecting widespread discontent with the President's policies. This visit marks Trump's first since Catherine Connolly became President of Ireland.
